Areas of responsibility: higher education, social insurance, labour market, police, tax administration, justice, infrastructure, defence, ….. Not responsible for: transport, healthcare, nursery care, primary- and secondary school... Approximately 200 agencies with more than 20 employees 5 % of the workforce About employees Highly decentralised

Why using a process approach?
Demands and expectations Effectiveness & cost efficiency Quality services Rule of law and transparency 24/7 Implementing TQM Processes Performance management All this demands and expectations are actually demands and expectations on the agencies processes. Our conclusion is that a higher degree of process orientation is the main strategy to meet those demands and expectations. Co-operation between agencies by identification of different responsibilities in citizen orientated processes is the platform to create so called one-stop-shops. There will be stronger demands increase cost efficiency and productivity due to the demographic challenge.
