Don’t use “In conclusion”  The reader will know they are looking at the conclusion based on the content
Don’t use other qualifiers  “really,” “very,” “surely,” “often,” “hopefully,” “basically,” etc. These terms make your paper sound unsure; remove them to make it sound direct

11. Good Rules
Don’t include irrelevant information  it confuses the reader and doesn’t add anything to your paper
Don’t lengthen your paper on purpose  use the researched information you have collected and analyze it; No Fluff!
Don’t generalize  be specific about what you want to say; generalizing gives the impression that you don’t have anything to prove
Use the statistics, numbers, and facts you have found in your research to support your arguments

12. Good Rules
Use direct and clear language not “fancy” words you think make your writing sound better
