Orange, blue and green markers indicate where recording tags were deployed on blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus) in the austral summers of 2014, 2015 and White markers show locations of night anchorages. In the summary table, the ‘Other’ column represents highly variable, short duration sounds. The ‘M–C pair’ superscripts in the ‘Group size’ column indicate mother–calf pairs.
