Ms. Yeung’s Grade Five 5Y November 12-16th What we are learning
November 12-16th What we are learning Notes/Reminders: Language: Our focus this week is continuing to develop comprehension skills during our novel study. We will begin to research for our famous person biographies during our literacy program. We will begin our 3rd unit in our grammar book on ‘Sentences and Sentence Parts’. Math: We will learn how to compare, order and round decimals to the nearest tenth and hundredth place value. Social Studies: We will present our First Nations group project this week. Science: Hands on investigations about the circulatory system. Arts: Continuation of our Banyan tree oil pastel art. We will also begin practicing for our Christmas music production! Please sign up on the NTCS website for a parent-teacher interview time that is suitable for you. I hope to see you then! Progress report cards will be distributed on Friday November 16th! I encourage parents to review the results and comments with their child. Please bring in research materials for the biography project this week Keep reading on for our Read-a-Thon!
