Do Now: complete writing and presenting 3 point claim (1&4-2), and counterargument and present it.
Get a computer if evidence chart is NOT finished
Homework: finish essay sequence & review your evidence chart
Did I use the language of the essential question in my claim and counterclaim?
Do my topic sentences connect to thesis?
Does my evidence support my reason?
Do I have a credible counter-argument and rebuttal?
Are my citations correct?
20 minutes for evidence and/or review and/or sequence example essay reading

3. Complete your claim & counter-argument
When you write your 3 or 2 part claim- underline the road maps
Counter-argument = needs a because with one reason.

4. Sequence the Essay
For those finished with your evidence, follow the instructions.
Turn it in when you are finished
Yes, some elements of the essay will have more than 1 sentence—put them in order too.
Think about the elements of the essay as you go.

5. Again, what should I double/triple check on my evidence chart?
All the same things we talked about last week.
Did I use the language of the essential question in my claim and counterclaim?
Do my topic sentences connect to thesis?
Does my evidence support my reason?
Do I have a credible counter-argument and rebuttal?
Are my citations correct?
Are my sources credible?
Have I followed the directions?
