2 When we focus on the result rather than the doer, we use passive voice.

3 Present continuous passive
Subject cv am/is/are cv being cv participle polluted. The air / pollute The air is being damaged. City streets/ damage City streets are being Potholes / not repair Potholes aren´t being repaired. The World / destroy The World is being destroyed.

4 Present continuous passive

Forests / devastate Forests are being devastated. For actions in progres right now: Water is being polluted right now. For actions in progres right now: Water is being polluted nowadays. 5 Present perfect passive
Subject cv have/ has cv been cv participle lost. Many parks / lose Many parks have been displaced. Homeless/ displace Homeless have been Lakes / disappear Lakes have been disappeared. Forests / devastate Forests have been devastated.

6 Present perfect passive

For something that started before the present: Cities have been overpopulated since 2009 For something that started before the present: Cities have been overpopulated in the last years For something that started before the present: Cities have been overpopulated in the last years

7 To identify what tense to use we have to pay attention to the key words:
Present continuous: Now, right now, these days , Nowadays, etc… Present perfect: Lately, recently, during , in the last, since, for, etc…

(contaminate) 7-Statues and buildings are being eroded these days. (erode) 8-The destruction of plants is being accelerated in the present. (accelerate) 9-Birds and fish have been harmed over the years. (harm) 10- Kids are being corrupted now. (corrupt) 1- The life has been destroyed since humans appeared. (destroy) 2-Health is being threatened in nowdays. (threaten) 3-Many trees have been cut down recently. (cut down) 4-The seas are being polluted right now.
