2 Speak, O Lord #755 in Lift Up Your Hearts
Words: Keith Getty, Stuart Townend © 2006 Thankyou Music, admin. worldwide at EMICMGPublishing.com (excl. Europe admin. by Kingswaysongs)

3 Speak, O Lord - v.1 Speak, O Lord, as we come to you to receive the food of your holy Word. Take your truth, plant it deep in us; shape and fashion us in your likeness— that the light of Christ might be seen today in our acts of love and our deeds of faith. Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us all your purposes for your glory.

4 Speak, O Lord - v. 2 Teach us, Lord, full obedience, holy reverence, true humility. Test our thoughts and our attitudes in the radiance of your purity. Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see your majestic love and authority. Words of power that can never fail; let their truth prevail over unbelief.

5 Speak, O Lord - v. 3 Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds; help us grasp the heights of your plans for us. Truths unchanged from the dawn of time that will echo down through eternity. And by grace we’ll stand on your promises, and by faith we’ll walk as you walk with us. Speak, O Lord, till your church is built, and the earth is filled with your glory.

Words: Reuben Morgan © 1998 Hillsong Publishing (APRA), admin. US & Canada at EMICMGPublishing.com

8 Hear Our Praises - v. 1 May our homes be filled with dancing, may our streets be filled with joy. May injustice bow to Jesus as the people turn and pray. Refrain From the mountain to the valley, hear our praises rise to you. From the heavens to the nations, hear our singing fill the air.

9 Hear Our Praises – v. 2 May your light shine in the darkness as we walk before the cross. May your glory fill the whole earth as the water over the seas. Refrain From the mountain to the valley, hear our praises rise to you. From the heavens to the nations, hear our singing fill the air.

11 Humble Leadership 1 Peter 5

12 Humble Leadership Leaders must follow Christ’s example and be servants to the Church like a shepherd. Not ‘control’ believers, nurture and encourage. Original word means protecting, leading, feeding, and watching out for welfare. Serving requires alertness and protection.

13 Humble Leadership Serving helps us learn of God’s Kingdom.
Prov. 3:34 God “gives grace to the humble.” Refers to Jesus ‘Sermon’ and quotes Ps.55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.” Not trusting God causes anxiety!

14 Humble Leadership Resist evil in Christ’s power, not your own!
Rev 12:11 victory over Satan “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Restore – fix or make complete. Prov 3:34 “God gives grace to the humble.”

15 Humble Leadership Original audience in first stage persecution.
Somewhat similar to our times. We can only stand firm against evil by totally trusting Christ and keeping the faith! God ‘makes you strong’ to what’s needed! Do ministry or opposition in Jesus strength!

17 Before the Throne of God Above
Lift Up Your Hearts # Words: Charitie Lees DeCheney Bancroft ( ), P.D.

18 Before the Throne of God Above v.1
Before the throne of God above, I have a strong and perfect plea, a great High Priest whose name is Love, who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on his hands, my name is written on his heart; I know that while in heaven he stands, no tongue can bid me thence depart, no tongue can bid me thence depart.

19 Before the Throne of God Above v.2
When Satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within, upward I look and see him there, who made an end of all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, my sinful soul is counted free; for God the Just is satisfied, to look on him and pardon me, to look on him and pardon me.

20 Before the Throne of God Above v.3
Behold him there! The risen Lamb, my perfect, spotless righteousness; the great unchangeable “I AM,” the King of glory and of grace! One with himself I cannot die, my soul is purchased by his blood; my life is hid with Christ on high, with Christ, my Savior and my God, with Christ, my Savior and my God.
