Measurement Systems: 1. English system (or U.S. customary units) - used in U.S. 2. SI system (or Metric system) - used worldwide.

International System of Units SI system (Metric system)
Established in France 1790 1960 revised for international scientific agreement. SI is simple because it is based on factors of 10.

Categories of Units: A) Base Units - based on a physical constant. Ex/ meter, gram B) Derived Units - come from base units. Ex/ area, volume
