LAW A law is an idea formed by citizens. A law is called a bill before it is signed by the President. It gets taken to Congress. The President is in the Executive Branch. The President has to sign it. Otherwise, that is called a veto.

The legislative branch of the government writes the laws.

EXECUTIVE BRANCH The Executive branch of the government carries out the laws. It also includes the President and his Cabinet.

JUDICIAL BRANCH The judicial branch of the government includes the Supreme Court. They have nine justices. They make sure the laws are fair.
