2. Intention
The intention is to assess the repeatability of the test procedure described in the Phase 1a gtr text
Labs will be asked to test the golden vehicles to the text of the gtr
A golden engineer will record the operation of the test without intrusion
This should identify:
Areas of possible missinterpretation
Errors in the gtr text
Missing items from the gtr text
Possibilities / necessity to amend the test procedure in Phase 1b

3. Planned Framework Approx 8 Laboratories 5 Manufacturers 3 Non-Industry
2 Golden vehicles (1 petrol, 1 diesel)
1 Golden Engineer
European (E5/B5) reference fuels (sourced by each lab)
Vehicles re-tested at first lab on completion
Exchange at least one golden vehicle (petrol) with Asian RR at end of testing

4. Financing
ACEA will co-ordinate the exercise and sponsor the golden engineer
Each participating lab shall arrange transport to the next lab
Reference fuel and all other test costs shall be borne by each participating lab
Golden vehicles shall be supplied by ACEA members
