Why is Israel so important?
Genesis 12:1-3 the LORD had said to Abram, “I will make you into a great nation And I will bless you: I will make your name great, And you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And whoever curses you I will curse; And all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
4
Gen. 17:7-8 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants… The whole land of Canaan…I will give as and everlasting possession…
5
Judges 2:1 I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
6
1 Kings 8:56 Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.
7
Psalm 89:3-4 I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.
8
Jeremiah 31:35-37 This is what the LORD says…
Only if these decrees (sun, moon, stars, sea and waves) vanish from my sight, declares the LORD, will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me.
9
Jeremiah 31:31-34 I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel…
I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. …they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest… I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sin no more.
10
Romans 11:28-29 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies…
But as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.

Matthew 23: 37-39 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
12
Deuteronomy 4:27 The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
13
Deuteronomy 28:65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot.
14
Ezekiel 36:24-28 For I will take you out of the nations;
I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit in you… You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
15
Zechariah 12:2-3 This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling… I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.
16
Matthew 24: 32-35 Now learn a lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so , when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel…
I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. …they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest… I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sin no more.

Ezekiel 36:24-28 For I will take you out of the nations;

Acts 3:19-21 Repent, then, and turn to God , so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. And that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
