Thomas Edison was born in Ohio, USA, on February 11th, He joined school when he was 8 years old, but he quitted it shortly afterwards. His teachers thought that he was not very intelligent. At the age of twelve he became deaf. Later on, he started making experiments in physics, so he transformed his room into a laboratory. When Edison died on October 18th, 1931, he had made more than one thousand inventions.
