Getting Started

2 Purpose of the Norfolk Community Directory
Provide information on services, activities and events across Norfolk Allow service/activity providers to add and maintain their own records, moderated by Norfolk County Council Allow customers to find and compare services, using a shortlist if they wish Allow multiple organisations, like councils, voluntary and health, to maintain a single repository of information that is kept up to date and useful. Supports statutory duties of care and service provision, like the Local Offer, Childcare Act and Care Act

3 Finding information Use a keyword or location search
Browse the categories from the home page See map of nearby services Filter your results using the list on the left-hand side, based on service type, age group, facilities, location etc

4 Viewing services Click on a service to view more detail, like facilities, costs, times Save to shortlist Leave feedback on the service Contact the service

5 Suggest a service Use link in the header ‘Suggest a service’ to tell us about a service that is not currently included and we will contact them to invite them to become a provider on the Directory.

6 Adding your service If you provide a service or activity in Norfolk, you can add and maintain your own record(s) Click on ‘Add your service’ in the header Complete the form If accepted, you will be ed and invited to set a password and account security Once completed, you can start adding records.

7 Adding services (staff)
If you are staff at an organisation like a council, or a voluntary or health organisation, and want to add a range of services on behalf of the providers, contact We will set you up as a ‘super-user’ so you can add and maintain a range of records on behalf of the providers, who are not be able to maintain their own. Or we can investigate how we might feed in a set of records that are held in another database from your organisation, eg healthcare records from NHS Heron.
