2 Doctor of Philosophy Program in Agricultural Technology at Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University What is it? The program is a collaboration among Chulalongkorn Universitys Faculty of Science departments as well as overseas universities and research institutions. Faculty members active in research in both basic sciences and applied technologies and thus capable of dealing with a variety of agricultural and natural resource management problems. Objective: To produce and train highly-skilled researchers in multidisciplinary fields of agricultural technology and natural resource management Target clients: individuals interested in career in teaching and research Individuals concerned with agricultural development and natural resource management

3 Doctor of Philosophy Program in Agricultural Technology at Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University Study plan (48 credits) (for applicants with Masters degrees) 48 credits of dissertation research non-credit seminars 3 years Examples of PhD Research Topics Food technology Organic agriculture development and management Integrated natural resource management Companion modeling in integrated watershed management Multi-agent systems (MAS) and Ecological modeling

4 Ph.D. Program: Application requirements Masters degrees In Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Industry, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Genetics, Biology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Botany, Marine Science, Microbiology, or other related sciences Minimum TOEFL of 500 or equivalent Research proposal contact potential advisor prior to application Tuition fee: Approx.
