1 THE BEST BUSINESS NETWORK JUST GOT EVEN BETTER

2 A lot has changed since we built the UK’s first 4G network back in 2012.
We have seen data use double each year. Our network now carries in a month much more than what we carried in a year just seven years ago. With more 4G in more places, and more people, products and services that rely on constant connectivity, our customers are huge users of data and demand more every day. We can see every day that they need greater capacity, greater reliability.    Over the last 5 years we’ve rolled out 4G across the UK, been named the UK’s best network every year, broken every speed record going, and been first to launch every new mobile experience for our customers (Double speed 4G, 4G+, WiFi calling, 4G Calling) EE MARKETING | G TARIFF RELAUNCH | PROPOSITION GUIDE V1

3 AND IT’S ONLY GETTING BETTER
THE BEST 4G NETWORK AND IT’S ONLY GETTING BETTER LISTENED TO OUR CUSTOMERS. Did you know? We have over 19,000 masts, and that’s the most Over 99% of the UK population can get HD voice and superfast 4G data Targeting 95% UK geographic 4G coverage Turning excess 3G capacity into 4G capacity 4G+ uses more spectrum ‘carriers’ for better performance 5G takes your 4G connectivity a step further. 5G takes 4G connectivity a step further: All 4G+ areas supporting 5G cell sites will include ‘5 carriers’ of spectrum (1800MHz, 2100MHz (formerly used for 3G), 3 x carriers of 2600MHz). 5G devices draw on both 4G and 5G spectrum concurrently. Therefore, the 5G device experience is dependent on the underlying 4G network capability, as well as 5G. With the first phase of 5G technology, voice calls will continue to be carried by 4G. However, voice and data will run concurrently on 5G handsets, as it does for 4G handsets today.

4 INTRODUCING THE UK’S FIRST 5G NETWORK

7 BETTER CONNECTION IN BUSY PLACES EVEN FASTER AND BETTER QUALITY
5G BENEFITS BETTER CONNECTION IN BUSY PLACES EVEN FASTER AND BETTER QUALITY INSTANT CONNECTION In the first instance, our positioning for the benefits of 5G is straight forward [Replace below with Business relevant messages from messaging guide] BETTER CONNECTION IN BUSY PLACES: Streaming without compromise, while those around you buffer, you are streaming EVEN FASTER & BETTER QUALITY: Minutes just became seconds INSTANT CONNECTION: So real you could swear you were there Mobile gaming just got serious with console like gaming on the go Enabling a faster and more reliable connection in the busiest parts of busiest cities. Faster downloads and the highest quality video, thanks to superfast speeds, faster than ever before. Glitch free cloud working and amazing new augmented reality experiences.

8 5G EVOLUTION Phase 1 2019-2022 Phase 2 2022 Phase 3 2023+
5G rollout and continued 4G improvements 1500 5G sites by the end of Enhanced mobile broadband that’s faster, with greater capacity and more reliable Full next generation 5G core network Long range 5G coverage (700MHz) and better device choice and capabilities Bringing fixed, mobile and Wi- Fi into one seamless customer experience Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications Quality of Service (using Network Slicing) and multi- gigabit-per-second speeds Enabling real-time traffic management of autonomous vehicles

9 COMBINING FIXED AND MOBILE CONNECTIVITY
Building critical infrastructure is our heritage, and our network is already part of the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure. We don’t see ourselves as just building a network for the future, we’re building seamless connectivity for our customers. And 5G is more than an evolution. It’s the first time mobile has become infrastructure grade - able to replace, extend and enhance existing fixed infrastructures. . Temporary site - The technology of choice for businesses needing connectivity quickly, temporarily, or where fixed may not be suitable. Rapid and cost effective deployment – No pre-laid fibre? 5G can give a fibre-like boost to bandwidth from day 1. So our customers can set up at a new site quickly. Back up - With capacity and physical diversity, 5G can become the back up of choice. 5G delivers more than an evolution for mobile; it’s the first time mobile has become infrastructure grade. Able to replace, extend and enhance existing fixed infrastructures. Building critical infrastructure is our heritage: our fixed network is part of the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure, and our mobile supports the Emergency Services Network (ESN). 5G is the next evolution side-by-side with NB-IoT.

10 WE’RE TESTING PROOF OF CONCEPTS WITH CUSTOMERS
LISTENED TO OUR CUSTOMERS. Media and Broadcast Improved latency and high-bandwidth guarantees a broadcast quality experience when filming on-location. This removes the need (and reduces costs) for trucks in remote locations. Smart City/Surveillance 5G will enable high quality, real-time CCTV surveillance systems. To better equip the authorities and enhance public safety. Fixed Wireless Access Ideal for connecting temporary sites quickly when you’re on the move or connecting a new apartment building with superfast broadband and fibre, wirelessly. Intelligent Assets Our logistics and utility customers are looking to see how they can integrate IoT into their businesses using the 5G network. Focusing on tracking locations and monitoring the status of large volumes of assets.

11 FUELLING A THRIVING ECONOMY
NETWORK LEADERSHIP FUELLING A THRIVING ECONOMY 5G will unleash the next wave of digital disruption. And BT are building the network that places UK businesses at the forefront. Low latency and higher speeds will drive business efficiency and seamless connectivity means you’ll never miss an opportunity. But, ultimately, it won’t be us that defines what 5G is and does.. It’ll be you.

12 SO, HOW CAN 5G HELP YOU? NETWORK LEADERSHIP
What would faster connections mean for your business? What could you do if ultrafast connectivity could be delivered in days, not weeks? What sensors could you monitor to give your business instant feedback? What systems could you monitor to give your business instant feedback? What processes could be moved to the cloud with fast, reliable, low latency connections?
