The Structured Dialogue is a process for discussions between young people and policy makers about different themes, to make sure the opinions of young people are taken into account in defining the EU’s youth policies. 4 Quality of youth work, Unemployed youth and NEET, Culture and entrepreneurship The themes and topics for discussion are decided at European level by EU Youth Ministers; then a committee of the current trio of EU Presidency countries, the European Commission and the European Youth Forum is responsible for coordinating the process and deciding upon sets of questions to be asked to young people across Europe twice a year. These questions are then used as the basis for national consultations in each EU country, which are organised by National Working Groups, and in most cases they are led by youth councils and include other youth organisations and stakeholders. 

5 Aims To enable structured debate on local and national level
To establish qualitative partnerships among youth structures on local level To inform general public on importance of including youth in the society and in the dialogue To strengthen and support youth work as it develops quality To offer youngsters opportunity of qualitative learning experience

6 Goals To carry out 2 day training for youth coordinators and representatives of municipalities To carry out 10 local events in Slovenia (in each at least: 50 young participants, 3 proposals/solutions, 3 decision makers) To carry out evaluation meeting To publish publication with given proposals, solutions and used tools To give included youngsters the possibility for personal development and offer them learning opportunity To ensure media coverage of the whole project (at least 150 media releases)

41 ideas/solutions/measures communicated to decision makers on local and national level Multifunctional place for youngsters in Nova Gorica (for organised and non-organised youth) Loads of new local events and projects Receiving Youth friendly municipality certificate in Litija Commission for youth issues in Črnomelj Building renovation for youth services in Idrija Dialogue between local youth structures and municipality in Idrija

8 What was achieved?  FIRST CHALLENGE (EU level)  keeping PUBLIC SERVICE WORK POSSIBILITY open in youth sector  Mentor schemes developed in many different ways  cooperation with Employment service of Slovenia
