4. The start up…. Started up in Växjö autumn of 2017
A planned evening event for women studying or working in the IT- industry - Kalmar and Kronoberg
The goal was that 40 women would sign up…. but the more realistic aim was that we would be happy if around 20 people showed up…
However, 60 women came on our first event and 106 had signed up to join the network – in just 6 weeks!
Now the network has signed up over 200 members from over 40 different companies or organizations….and we are growing…

5. About WiTech A network created by women for women
WiTech is not bound to any companies which makes this network open for everyone
The network wants to raise awareness of the possibilities in jobs related to IT/Tech
We want the network to be a place where we can exchange knowledge, inspire others and show the variety of roles within the field

Networking and bridge between company, students and business

7. IT Girl of 2019 – member of WiTech
Ebtisam Mohammedsalih utses till vinnare i Årets IT-tjej 2019 med följande motivering:
Hon brinner för jämställdhet, mångfald och inkludering. Med ett stort engagemang för utbildning och hur sättet att lära ut borde anpassas för att nå fler är hon redan i dag en förebild. Hon är modig, skyr inte utmaningar och det hon säger berör. Det är med stor glädje som Microsoft utser Årets IT-tjej och ser fram emot att inspirera fler tillsammans med vinnaren Ebtisam Mohammedsalih.
