Towards Regional Integration and Regional Single Window

Discussed issues: Can RSW help promote regional integration? On what levels? How are the questions different between regional and national implementations? What specific concerns must be considered in regional implementation of SW? What is the difference / distinction to be made between a RSW and SW Interoperability on a regional level? Should SW be mentioned in Free Trade Agreements? (at what level? For what purpose? Interoperability or RSW?) If you run out of topics, I would suggest to develop a “wish list” of features for such RSW and/or concerns that would need to be addressed

Outputs of Discussion RSW helps to promote regional economic integration and vice-versa Recommendation 33 to take into account the RSW as a possibility in regional processes Different models can be suggested for different levels for integration Different benefits and obstacles depending on the level of integration Possible Information exchanged (e.g. SPS, CoO, technical barriers to trade, invoices, other certificates such as CITES, other types of licenses following international standards) Take into account different level of integration
