Progress in antenna calibrations — Recommendations
R. Schmid, G. Wübbena, G. Mader, B. Haines
2
Recommendations (1) future reprocessing campaigns should use an updated antenna model z-offset values for newly launched satellites are estimated from the weekly SINEX solutions; only those ACs can be considered that have satellite antenna offset corrections included; consistency with the existing values has to be guaranteed the JPL antenna maps should somehow be merged with the IGS model; ACs are encouraged to estimate azimuth- dependent satellite antenna PCVs
3
Recommendations (2) allow the use of individual calibrations within the IGS network? request robot calibrations for new ground antenna types
4
Open issues how to add GLONASS calibrations (frequency division multiple access!) to ANTEX files? how to add (receiver-dependent!) carrier-to-noise patterns CN0 to ANTEX files? how to get a general definition for the orientation of receiver antennas to North? rules for the update of the various antenna files? group delay variations for ground and satellite antennas?
