Two Protocols for Two Types of Athletes
ELITE ATHLETES Elite athletes are primarily dedicated on one sport. Generally, they play their sport year round and they compete at the highest level, but they may cross train with sports like Track and Field, martial arts or gymnastics. They utilize their second sport as training and preparation for their primary sport, and their primary goal through each phase of training always remain the same: Enhance athleticism and Improve sports specific skills so they may excel at the highest level possible. COMPETITIVE OR RECREATIONAL ATHLETES This wide range of athletes includes people who may play just for the fun of the game, all the way up to competing at a moderate to even a high level. These athletes may be very competitive in several sports, but have not chosen to specialize or focus on one. Their calendar will differ slightly because the primary goal is overall wellness and enjoyment more than elite performance.
