Tuesday - Wednesday We arrived at the airport in Silale after a long journey, infact we left at 10:30 am and arrived in Lithuania at 9:30 pm. Then a transfer took us to the families at night so the teachers gave us permission to sleep a little more the following morning. When we arrived at school , we met the students from the other countries; we introduced ourselves and then we spent some free time together. Later we got a tour of the entire school. At 4 pm we checked in at the Hotel of Nature with the ranger . In the evening, the Ranger taught us something about wildlife, and later we went out to explore the forest in the complete darkness. It was about 1:00 am when we finally came back. We were all tired.

Thursday We woke up at 9 am then we prepared our backpacks and got to school by bus. At half past eleven we arrived at our destination to learn about :« how to choose a successful career», «what are the most important steps to realize it» and «what are the factors we have to consider for choosing a good job». We finished this lecture about the career guidance at 4 pm and then we went to different places to learn about different complex jobs. Antonio went to an advertisement manufacturer while Francesco went to a photographer. After that, we all went home and made a PowerPoint presentation explaining the jobs we had seen and then we had to show them to others the day after. In the evening, all of us from the Erasmus Project (except teachers) organized the dinner in a nearby restaurant. There were almost twenty of us, and the dinner was delicious! Then we camet back home, obviously very very tired!

Friday Friday was a very LONG day. We had to wake up early in the morning and got the school by bus. We reached Siauliai, to visit one of the most famous buildings of the regions - the «Chocolate Museum». We arrived there , and we had a guided tour of the whole building, learning everything about the history of chocolate, and how it reached their workshops, especially the most famous Lithuanian one that is RUTA. We also made some chocolates by ourselves! It was time to have lunch, so we stopped in a restaurant in the nearest mall – we ate Japanese food! An hour after lunch, we took our bus again to go to the Hill of Crosses: a hill with ontop over crosses! It got very late, so we went back to Silale, in a villa where we had to show our PowerPoint presentations.

We had so much fun there! The PowerPoint presentations were all detailed, so they took a lot of time. We had a lot of free time there, so we played basketball in a very wide field, and football as well.

Saturday It was a very interesting day.
As usual, we woke up early to get to school, and take the bus. We went to Nida this day. The trip was very long, but it was worth it. We arrived at the Sea museum called Dolphinarium where we watched dolphins performing athletic exercises. They are such intelligent animals!! After that, we took the bus again and went to the Curronian Spit, a very LARGE field of sand and foliage. We walked along a very long path, on high Hills till we arrived at the end of the dunes, very very tired! It is a very beautiful landscape with a nice view of the Baltic Sea!

Sunday The city was full of tourists.
The center of the city was surrounded by walls, with a couple of gates. The guide showed us some of the most important churches in the city, some of which Catholic and others Orthodox. We saw the university, and also the city hall! Sunday was our last day in Lithuania and it was very sad for all the students. We still had a lot of time to enjoy ourselves . We woke up at 9 AM and then we took the bus from school in Silale to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The city was very similar to Rome. The guide said that it’s because most of the buildings were made by Italian architects who were called from the king himself to design them.

The end of our trip Monday The students - Antonio Di Maso
Monday was the day of our return trip to Italy. We were sad to leave our friends there, but what was important is that we had a lot of fun and surely we’ll have a fantastic memory of it forever. We had stayed at the hotel all Monday morning and at 12:00 we went to the airport to get our plane and fly back to Italy. It was a very interesting experience, something we would gladly do again. We want to thank our school for giving us the chance to participate to this interesting experience, and hopefully get the opportunity to go through something like this again. The students - Antonio Di Maso - Francesco Tanzillo
