4 Chair and Vice-chair(s) 2011-2014
Chair: Alexandre Dolgui (France) Vice-chair(s): needed ! Please make suggestions, thanks IFAC requirements: “a vice-chair is able to manage TC in the unlikely event the chair should be unable to do so.” Thus, two or three vice-chairs, my suggestions: - Active members of TC - Represent different regions of the World One vice-chair from industry, if possible August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2

5 TC membership Just a reminder: If you want to continue to be a member, please contact your NMO (National Member Organization) and also inform me IFAC requirement: “NMO carefully identify individuals who have capabilities and interests within your field. IFAC will supply TC chair with the names of any such individuals as they are received from the NMOs” New members: Could you identify more potential members and communicate their names to your NMOs and myself, please? August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2

6 TC scope and topics Update existing scope of TC5.2 taking into account the scopes of the others TCs of CC 5 (in cooperation with the chairs of these TCs ): TC 5.1: Real-time control, intelligent (holonic) manufacturing systems, intelligent maintenance systems, … TC 5.3: Entreprise modelling, interoperability, networking… TC 5.4: Large scale systems In defining our scope, we should consider the above and differentiate TC 5.2 from them. The scope of TC5.2 should be focused on logistics, flow control, planning and scheduling, collaborative supply networks, etc. Could you help me in the endeavor? August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2

7 Working groups Now we have only one working group (WG): Supply network engineering, resp. A. Dolgui (will be possibly replaced with J.C. Hennet and Dmitry Ivanov ? These two candidates are exceptional and I am sure will do a better job than even I did) Objective: Create two additional working groups (taking into account revised version of the TC scope and topics) Do you have some ideas ? Suggestions wanted. WG: special sessions, special issues of journals, books, … August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2

8 TC events Our conference (workshop ?): MIM, last edition was in Budapest in 2007 (organized by Prof. Laszlo Monostori). We need launch the organization of the next MIM as soon as possible (constraints: INCOM 2012, WC 2014, so MIM can be organized in 2013). We have the candidature of St Petersburg (Russia), this seems to be an excellent possibility, especially given the time constraints TC 5.2 is a co-sponsor of the IFAC symposium INCOM 2012 in Bucharest (INCOM is a joint event of all TCs of CC5), please participate actively!!! Next our TC meeting will be organized during INCOM 2012 in Bucharest, A Track and several sessions of INCOM 2012 are supported by our TC perhaps we can co-organize with TC5.1 (help TC 5.1) the workshop on assembly and disassembly (considering not only technological aspects but also logistics, planning and scheduling ?) August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2

9 TC meetings The rule: One meeting a year next TC 5.2 meetings:
- At INCOM 2012 in Bucharest, May 23-25, 2012 At MIM 2013, June 2013, St Petersburg At IFAC WC 2014 in South Africa August 31, 2011 Meeting of IFAC TC 5.2
