1st jan 1981 the ARPNET was activated
Symbolics.com, the first website, was registered at the 15th march 1985
1985: only 6 registered websites; nobody was interested in the internet
Today more than 670 mio. websites exist on the internet

4. Searching for Information
The Internet makes the searching for information easier and faster
Websites like google, bing, yahoo, etc. can help you to find exact that websites you are looking for
BUT:
Not all of the results you get are true, everybody can publish false information on the web!
You should be careful which information you use and don´t belive everything you read.
So sometimes it´s better to take a book.

5. Social Networks
Social Networks connect millions of users in the whole world. They help to find friends and give an easy way to communicate with others. You can create your own profile, and use it to chat, to share your pictures or discuss with other users.
