Simple, Elegant, and powerful because it beyond a brand simply with one image and the way it is presented

The Golden Ratio In simple terms, the golden ratio (also known as the divine proportion or the golden mean), is a mathematical constant that appears repeatedly in nature and artwork. The Golden Ratio is a relationship between proportions of any mathematical value to another value. It is a universal law proven to be the building block of all natural structures from molecular code to human and animal body proportions.

The Vitruvian Man is a drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci circa 1490
The Vitruvian Man is a drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci circa It is accompanied by notes based on the work of the architect Vitruvius. It illustrates the relationship of the human body and its proportions to proven mathematical ratios or the golden ratio. If the ratio can be found in all natural forms of life it can be mimicked by design. The reason for this, is that there is a balance and athletic beauty to the proportions of all life which we as humans are programed to read and enjoy. Therefore, successful designs incorporate this ratio allowing users to understand it easily and efficiently.

The organization, design, and representation of modern advertisements and logos are all carefully analyzed to best represent the company and the proper natural proportions for the human eye. A multitude of techniques and rules are enforced on the designs to help create a successful composition to catch the human eye.

The techniques are implemented to help orient the eye as well as illustrate ideas and processes easily. Techniques such as the use of the golden ratio, Fibonacci sequence, and the rule of thirds are the main techniques used by all design professionals.

The example shows the Twitter webpage and the relationships between the title bars, info bars, and tweet box. The spirals can serve as a guideline for content density and clustering. The may also serve as the foundation for the ratio of your website header images, search bars and tool bars.

The logo of the company is shown at the top left following the rule of thirds while the proportions of the Main content also following the rule of thirds.

Because apple is a leader in technology and innovation their web sites reflect that in organization yet the same characteristics found in the previous page a seen here. Header, navigation, and logo are all still located at the top and the main content simply takes up the middle of the screen while the sidebar is no longer vertical but horizontal under the main content, but still share a proportional relationship to each other. And finally the footer binds the content together at the bottom of the page.
