1 Getting Started…. What’s First? Student Homework Assignment
Assignment One Recognize Your strengths: Your first assignment is to write down the strengths that you feel you have – even if you do not know how you would possibly use them in your business right now. Examples: My strengths are leadership, public speaking, writing, editing, planning, working with people, management, organizing, etc. Come up with as many as possible. Do not focus on your weaknesses, only your strengths. (Put it up where you can see it every day and remind you of what you are striving to accomplish…) We would also love to see some of them, so feel free to send them in to SUPPORT HERE /support Page 1 of 3

2 Assignment Two Write a 3-month goal: Write down what you want to accomplish in the next 3 months, and what are the measurable action-oriented steps or short-term goals that you can set to achieve your 3-month goal. (Use the guidelines below to help.) A goal is a statement that clearly describes Actions to be taken (task-oriented) Tasks to be accomplished A way to measure or a way to evaluate the success Who will be accountable for the accomplishment Something challenging but realistically achievable How will you celebrate each goal that you meet, both short- and long-term? (Write this down also. ) Page 2 of 3

3 Note from Please do not let your homework assignments stop you from moving forward. Remember if you are having a hard time getting something accomplished… never use the words, “I can’t do this!” You must begin right now by saying, “I can do this,” and “I will figure out how to get it accomplished, even if it means asking for help!” Enjoy…. Make it fun. Page 3 of 3
