1 SAP Analytics Cloud Analytics Designer Hackathon Resource Package

2 Overview This summer, SAP challenges you to create your own application using the new Analytics Designer feature within SAP Analytics Cloud.  Students and SAP Partners are invited to add a personal touch to their analytics applications through experiencing the new functions of Analytics Cloud.  This challenge will only be available for students in Canada and the United States.

YOUR challenge Pick one UN Sustainable Development Goal and create an application using Analytics Designer on SAP Analytics Cloud. Provide suggestions and key insights your application offers.

4 What are the steps to the Analytics Designer Hackathon Challenge?

5 Step one Click Here to choose one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

6 Step TWO Choose 1-2 targets (depending on the number of indicators). These are under each goal on their website linked in the previous slide.

7 Step THREE to get exclusive access to the tenant with SAP Analytics Cloud’s new Analytics Designer feature. Provide your name, and school. Find your data – refer to our starting data set, or find your own from a credible source. Select Create from the menu in the upper left-hand corner and select Modeller. Validate and create your model using whatever credible data you’d like. When that’s done, select “Analytics Designer” to start creating your application.

9 How do I submit an entry?

10 submission to request for a tenant, providing name, and school. Add the AnalyticsDesigner sample models to your story OR create a your own private model using your own data. Analyze, visualize, and create an application using AnalyticsDesigner. Present your story as a blog post on SAP Community channel using screen shots of your data visualization (max 500 words). Submit your entry on our website.

Business Application Opportunity Identification & Analysis (5) Is the analysis used to effectively support the respective partner business aim or student goal? Are critical insights of the problem relevant and discussed in the presentation? Strategic Recommendation (5) Is the recommendation feasible, realistic and tailored to SAP? Does the recommendation follow a logical sequence in addressing the problem identified? Implementation and actionable (5) Applications are used in operational scenario. Can users use it over and over again?  Are the recommendations feasible? Does the recommendation support overall strategy and embody Intelligent Enterprise? Do the design features clearly solve the problems as stipulated by the respective partner business aim or student goal? Is the solution sustainable for long term use? SAC Analytic Designer Utilization Technical difficulty (5) Do the design features include variety of UX elements Ideal applications include 3 different types of UX elements  Is the experience tight and direct? How simple is the User Experience? A clean and easy to consume experience makes it easier for the user to adopt the solution.   Design/User Experience (5) Is the visualization easy to interpret? Is the user experience intuitive and understandable at first glance? Originality (5) Did the participants incorporate new data from other sources? Is the use of data and visualizations compelling, unique, and creative? Is the use of widgets and UX elements unique and creative?
