Outside the tute/lab sessions, your first point of contact is the discussion forum. Chances are some other students may have asked the same questions and your question has been answered. You are responsible to read the forum to see what questions have been asked. Asking the same question may not necessarily be answered. 5 Web Servers and Web Technology iWeb Machines There are two dedicated machines for Web Servers and Web Technology: iweb1.cs.rmit.edu.au iweb2.cs.rmit.edu.au Directories for all student accounts in /iweb/username Your yallara home directory is mounted on iweb machine, therefore you can see your yallara home directory from iweb machine, but not vice versa. 6 Web Servers and Web Technology Unix Basic In order to successfully complete this subject, it is advisable that you learn a bit about Unix basic commands. In this course, you will use Unix commands to do the followings: Change directory. Create a file. Edit a text file. Copy and move a file. Create a directory. The first lab gives an introduction to Unix and Iweb machine.
