1 SANCTUARY’S FOUNDATION | “A Holy Place”
PS PETER NICHOLES | 14TH JULY 2019

2 The foundation for a Sanctuary is a journey with God, man and land
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. Genesis 12:1 The foundation for a Sanctuary is a journey with God, man and land

3 Abraham looking for the City of God
9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith - for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise … 12 And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead - a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them … 16 But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:9, 12, 16 (NLT) You have come to Zion, the city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem Hebrews12:22a NIV

4 7 Sanctuary Foundations

5 1. God’s plan of impartation
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:2-3 NIV “I will bless you You will be a blessing I will bless those that bless you All people will be blessed by you” 1. God’s plan of impartation

6 2. Receiving a revelation of Christ takes us into the Holy Place
“Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.” Genesis 14:18-19(NIV 84) “and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means "king of righteousness"; then also, "king of Salem" means "king of peace." Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.” Hebrews 7:2-3 2. Receiving a revelation of Christ takes us into the Holy Place

7 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?“ … 5 He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars - if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be." 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:2, 5 & 6 (NIV 84) 3. Cry for sonship, family!

8 4. Covenant relationship for the generations to come
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. 2 I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”… 9 Then God said to Abraham, "As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come Genesis 17:1-2, 9 (NIV 84) 4. Covenant relationship for the generations to come

9 5. A father of many nations
3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, 4 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. Genesis 17:3 - 6 (NIV 84) Abraham - father of a multitude

10 6. Revelation for future Generations
Then the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? ... 19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” Genesis 18:17 & 19 (NIV 84) 6. Revelation for future Generations

11 7. Marriage – Courtship keeps the promise flowing
3 I want you to swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, 4 but will go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac." Genesis 24:3-4 (NIV 84)
