3 Why AN Academic Program
RMA wants to help the industry by: Attracting more students to banking careers. Educating students about banking opportunities. Getting students involved early on. Providing students with tools to start learning now. Help students get jobs.

4 student membership Access to:
RMA study packs, which can be used for research papers. eMentor, which includes industry information, underwriting reports, and study materials on the best practices in commercial lending. RMA’s online training courses to supplement the school’s curriculum. Chapter meetings and events. Once a student joins, they will receive automated s from RMA about once per month to keep them engaged. These s will include information on how to access resources, scholarship opportunities, and how to be actively involved with chapters. Student membership is free. Renews automatically until graduation. Students must be enrolled in a 4-year college or university. Graduate students who are not employed full time are also eligible for membership.

6 Scholarship Program details
Information can be found at: Eligibility criteria: Citizen or permanent resident of U.S. or Canada. Completed a minimum of two years of college education. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in U.S. or Canada. Declared major in accounting, business, finance, economics, banking, or related area of study. Intend to pursue a career in financial services after graduation. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) overall and within business core courses.

7 Scholarship Program details (Cont.)
Winners determined based on merit, including: Academic achievement. Participation and leadership in community and school activities or related work experience. Demonstrated interest in the banking industry; such as RMA membership, involvement in chapter, academic studies, internships. Statement of career goals and objectives (two essay questions).

8 Scholarship Program details (Cont.)
Up to $200,000 to be awarded annually. Individual awards range from $2,000 to $5,000. Scholarships can be renewed up to two additional years, provided each student fulfills the renewal requirements. Scholarship America will determine finalists. Winners will be notified in early January 2016 and receive distribution by January 31.

9 RMA CREDIT ESSENTIALS CERTIFICATE
Certificate based on core competencies identified by bankers. Students can earn a certificate to demonstrate their knowledge in commercial credit. And to enhance their resume. Online training classes available to all RMA Student Members to help prepare for the certificate exam and fill any gaps in their course work.

10 Working with Colleges and Universities
RMA will provide: Course content to help faculty: Develop classes in credit risk analysis. Supplement the materials they already have. A semester-long turnkey course to universities: For universities that want to jump right in. Help students prepare for the Credit Essentials Certificate. The turnkey course is now being utilized by several schools and prepares students to sit for the Credit Essential Certificate exam which can be administered as a capstone to the course.

12 Chapter Involvement Involve students in chapter programs. Attend finance club events, and talk to them about a career in banking. Engagement Develop a mentorship program to give students someone they can converse with on a regular basis. Mentoring Talk to colleges/universities about our scholarship program. Talk to colleges/universities that are interested in starting banking programs and refer them to us. Communicating Encourage banks to start internship programs (guide available). Internships Help RMA collect internship data for the microsite. Microsite

Communications Internships Mentorships Jobs The banking industry will participate through regular dialog and the offering of internships, mentorships, and jobs.
