2 Andy Warhol Andrew Warhola was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Goes by Andy Warho. Warhol’s parents were Slovakian immigrants. His dad worked as a constructer and his mother was an embroiderer. At age 8, Warhol contracted a deadly disease and at this time his mother while taking care of him she gave him his first drawing lesson which later became his favorite activity. When he Graduated from college Warhol moved to New York and dropped the “a” from his name. Warhol then landed a job with Glamour magazine, and quickly became the most successful commercial artist of the ’s. And frequently won awards. Warhol then began devoting more to painting and in he debuted the concept of "pop art"—paintings that focused on mass-produced commercial goods.

3 Influences In 1961 Andy Warhol introduced the concept of “pop art”. Warhol had influenced thousands of artist. Also Warhol’s view on fame seems to have predicted 21st century celebrity culture and our inescapable critique of the Hollywood star system. Warhol’s work will always be remembered for their bold, bright and colorful nature, as well as of the images painted and printed that sear upon the brain and leave a lasting impression. Warhol not only change the face of art and the way in which we view it, but he also created a revolution throughout the entire world that will never be forgotten.

4 Impact on society Many people did not like Warhol which got him shot by a feminist. She claims that she shot him because he controls her life.

5 Continued Another thing was that Warhol was an openly gay artist. This stirred up a lot of controversy with his art. For example he made a movie named Blowjob which depicted a man receiving oral sex. Many critics did not accept this movie and were totally against it.

6 I feel … I feel that Andy Warhol was a fantastic artist and because of him we have more great artist that got influenced by him
