2. Description & Objectives
In this session we will explore the foundations of behavior with a focus on Positive Behavior Support. We will discuss strategies to implement within the classroom, in both elementary and secondary settings. We will review the use of classroom specific behavior expectations that support the implementation of a school wide matrix (tier 1), along with tier 2, tier 3, and data collection practices within the classroom.
Participants who attend this session will be able to:
-describe the foundations of understanding behavior
-apply skills and strategies to build classroom behavior expectations
-use examples and strategies for tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 support within the classroom
-apply data collection practices & applications for classroom use

8. Remember to Teach & Reteach Expected Behaviors
Teach expected behaviors at the beginning of the year, after any breaks, and any time that it seems like students would benefit from review
Model expected behaviors- they are looking for you to show them what you expect
