Examples:

6. U.S. SECRET SERVICE – Mission or Purpose
Provides physical security to the nation’s highest elected leaders, visiting foreign dignitaries, facilities and major events.
Examples:
Executes security operations that deter, minimize and decisively respond to identified threats and vulnerabilities.

7. BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES– Mission or Purpose
Protects our communities from the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and tobacco products
Examples:
Target, investigate and recommend prosecution of these offenders that manufacture, wholesale and importation of alcohol and tobacco.

Secure a more effective administration of the criminal laws of the state by investigating crimes, identifying and apprehending criminals, and preparing evidence for use in criminal courts.  
Examples:
provides assistance to local law enforcement agencies
conducts criminal investigations of allegations in areas of original jurisdiction

Protect property and life of its citizens in which we serve with pride and honor.
Examples: Investigations, Patrol, Arrests

11. WAKE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE– Mission or Purpose
Works to improve the quality of life in our communities by reducing fear, preventing crime and enforcing the laws while protecting each individual’s freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States and North Carolina.
