Our manufacturing site at Middlesbrough in the UK (Seqens Custom Specialities, formerly Chemoxy International Limited) is one of Europe’s largest contract manufacturers with more than 150 years of operating experience. It has two sites on Teesside employing over 160 people and is now one of Europe’s largest providers of custom manufacturing services to blue chip petrochemical and speciality chemical companies as well as to smaller companies with niche applications. Seqens is a great place to work and as a Product Manager you will report directly to the Commercial Director and will be working with experienced Commercial, Research & Development, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
This role is an addition to the existing team to support and drive business growth for the Cosmetics /Personal Care sector. You will manage all commercial activities, creating and developing new leads and managing the process from prospecting, to development, negotiation to contract commitment.
Main tasks:
Manage the Cosmetics/Personal Care product portfolio
Develop, expand and manage routes to market
Negotiate new contracts and business opportunities
Provide comprehensive technical support for the product line to global customers
Work closely with Operations, R&D, Purchasing and Supply Chain personnel
Employ technical and plant capability knowledge to initiate and progress project enquiries
Cultivate strong business relationships with current customers
Scope and lead market research
Represent the company at external network events and conferences

2. Product Manager (Cosmetics/Personal Care) Middlesbrough, UK
Required skills:
Have a minimum of a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or equivalent experience
Relevant experience in a similar sales, marketing, business development or other commercial role
Knowledge of the Personal Care market would be a distinct advantage
Outstanding networking skills with an extrovert personality and strong conceptual analysis
Expert negotiation and influencing skills
Exceptional organisational and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
The ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Must have a full UK driving licence
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must be able/willing to travel internationally
Fluency in English
