3 refresher activities for speaking

4. TRAP DOOR
Get them to score each other on how many times they have to go back to the beginning.

5. Have a grid of 30 numbered squares.
In each one write a word, phrase or
a question.
You might want all French, all English
or a mix of both.
Make 15 sets of numbered cards 1-30
(all different colours makes life easier)
Give each group or pair the grid and
a set of numbered cards.
With the numbers face down,
the pupils take turns in turning over
the cards and have to translate or
answer the question for that numbered
square.

6. Have whatever points system you want.
The idea is that you are using competition to get them to learn vocabulary
as well as speaking and translation skills (vital for GCSE)
Use with any group – make it as easy or hard as you wish.
