Identify the topic Read the questions carefully

Question A Identify which sources the question is focusing on
What are you comparing? Read each source carefully. Note important words and phrases. Identify how the sources agree AND disagree

1 paragraph compare 1 paragraph contrast 1 paragraph developed comparison Only need 1 way they are alike and not alike.

Question B Pay close attention to the question asked.
Make a judgement statement to support throughout paper. Organize paper – group sources by their stance Note bias and validity of the sources. How does this impact the answer to the question? Write short conclusion wrapping up your stance.

To evaluate credibility:
Who said it? Do you know anything specific about them and their stance on the topic in the question? Why did they say it? Who is the audience? When was it written and what do you know about the time? Weakness comes from your content knowledge.

Remember: No type of source MUST be credible Prove your analysis
Number of sources doesn’t imply overall support for the statement in the question. The strength and weakness of sources does! Focus on the question No fluff
