1. Mrs. Jensen’s News We are learning! April 23rd – April 26th, 2019
Our main story in reading was MAX TAKES THE TRAIN. We discussed all the different types of transportation Max used to get to Zeke’s for their Whamburgers!
(bus, train, ferryboat, jet, subway)
We focused heavily on all of the vowel sounds (long & short) and found them in the middle of words. We also practiced these sight words: yellow, blue, green, but, good, have, into, must, new & said.
In math, we are continuing to work on addition with total of 6, 7 & 8.
We’ve learned how to write number
bonds and number sentences!
For art, we made the EARTH! Ask
your child about the process.
We are really enjoying the nice weather and have been able to go outside for recess and gym! Yay!!
We’ve been practicing for our special Kindergarten Celebration.
We can’t wait to show you.
*** If your child is coming to school with sandals, please be sure they have tennis shoes to change into daily for gym.

PICNIC & ZOO AT CHAHINKAPA PARK –
MAY 30TH *Parents are welcome.
We will have school on May 24th.
No school on May 27th.
Homework
Return the signed slip for the readers sent home in baggies within 2 days.
Practice all the sight words we’ve covered this year.
Practice counting objects and recognizing numbers to 100 and also counting backwards from 30.
