with Safety Associations such as commercial diving industry, aboriginal communities, fishery, agricultural and construction industries OHS Symposiums Stakeholders expressed need to share knowledge, communicate requirements, and need for plain language guides Discussions on Mental health(Violence) and Occupational Health OHS Advisory Council New council members were appointed December 2017. work to provide strategic advise to the minister.

-include employers & employees of small & medium sized businesses - offer shorter and more engagement sessions A three-year plan for regulatory review - WHMIS and First Aid Regulations for this year Develop resources to communicate our rules clearly -e.g. plain language documents

Focus on high-risk industries, enhanced inspections, increased enforcement, and more educational outreach. Harmonization and mutual recognition We are working across the Atlantic region to harmonize or mutually recognize safety regulations and areas of certification, licensing and training.

Provides detailed annual business plans and mid-year reports on achievements and finances to WCB Board of Directors.  Focus this year is: Finalizing new three year strategic plan Assisting with issues related to OHS/WCB Promoting enhancements to WCB MyAccount and secure messaging Employer workshops New ad campaign promoting OEA and its services Hosting 10th annual employer workshop this fall.
