Regional planning effort began in 2006 with adoption of IRWMP in 2007
Region covers 4 watersheds: eastern boundary defined by headwaters at crest of Sierra Nevada, western boundary defined by transition zone to Central Valley, and northern and southern boundaries defined by Yuba and Consumnes Rivers

3. Recent Accomplishments
Prop 84, Round 1 implementation grant award of $3.1 million for 16 projects
Still awaiting contract execution with DWR, expected soon
Applicant: City of Nevada City (with administrative function to be performed by CABY)
2011 – Prop 84, Round 1 planning grant award of approximately $650,000 for IRWM plan update
Underway with expected completion later this year
Important opportunity to strengthen CABY effort through re-evaluation of organizational needs for long-term success and expand common understanding of regional water resource challenges and opportunities

2013 – Submission of Grant Application for Prop 84, Round 2 implementation funding for $5+ million
