Welcome Welcome to your local Children’s Centre, one of several Centres in Redbridge where families with young children can access activities and support in a range of areas of early family life. If you are expecting a baby or are a parent/carer with a child aged 0 to 4 years (up to 8 with a special educational need and/or disability (SEND)), your local Children’s Centre is ready to help. This timetable is for Aldersbrook CC (open Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 4.30pm) and Wanstead CC which is open only when sessions are running. To book a session please contact the Centre by phone or . Due to limited spaces at our drop in sessions we advise families to arrive 10 minutes before the start to avoid disappointment. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Have your say Your views and experiences of the centres helps us to shape the services we provide. Share your thoughts by joining the Parents’ Forum, complete our satisfaction surveys or talk to a member of staff. Join us for support and advice on all aspects of family life. Including free education and childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year olds Home Learning Aldersbrook 1 July only 10.00am to am (call to book) Come and find out if you’re entitled to two year funding, receive a free pack to support your child's learning and how to support your child's development at home. Intro to Solid South Woodford Clinic, 114 High Road, E18 2QS. 15 May and 26 June only | 10.00am to 11.00am (drop in) For parents, grandparents and carers of babies 4-6 months. Advice and guidance on how and when to introduce your child to solid foods Stories, Rhymes and Song Wanstead Library, Spratt Hall Road, E11 2RQ 2.00pm to 2.30pm (drop in) | For children aged 0 to 5 years A fun, creative and interactive session bringing books and rhymes to life Healthy Child Wanstead Place Clinic 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month (Option 4) 9.30am to 11.00am (drop in) Speak with someone from the Health Team, have your child weighed and discuss further health issues and queries. Learn techniques to relax your baby and help with colic and constipation Talking Therapies Aldersbrook CC Second Friday of every month. Please call to book appointment. Are you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed or experiencing low mood? We are working together with Redbridge IAPT to support families through free and confidential talking therapy support PLEASE NOTE This timetable of sessions and activities may be subject to change due to the consultation on Redbridge Children’s Centres which took place in early 2019. Booked session: please arrive 5 minutes before and no later than 10 minutes after the start time as late arrivals may be refused entry. Drop in sessions: please arrive 10 minutes before the start to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
