Jaguar Jumpstart Read this excerpt of “The Road Not Taken”:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Imagine that you are hiking near the Hatchie River. The trail splits. One trail is well-traveled. The other is not. Write five sentences describing which way you decided to go and what you saw. Use your imagination.

In poetry, there are often two different meanings: .
LITERAL MEANING = what is actually happening in the poem . FIGURATIVE MEANING = what it could represent or connect with in our lives
