SOCIAL CLUB ELECTION 2017 Comes earlier this year! Information about the Social Club Board Election is enclosed with this issue of the September “Leaves”. Please review the information about ballots and voting. It explains this year’s voting will be held in September and ballots will be available at the clubhouse when you vote. If you are unable to get to the clubhouse, there is information for you about getting a ballot and voting. NOTE: The Homeowners’ Association Board election information will be published in their monthly newsletter, “The Town Crier”. CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES’ SPOTLIGHT IS ON SPANISH CLASSES ARE RESUMING BOOK CLUB – 4TH WEDNESDAY 11:30 – 1:00 NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME! Schedule and book selections for the next few months are: September The Girls of Atomic City - Denise Kiernan October One Thousand White Women - Jim Fergus November 23 - The Distant Land of My Father - Bo Caldwell Come join us even if you haven't finished the book. Book selections will be made at the meetings and announced in the “Leaves”. We meet in the Ladies Card Room at the Clubhouse. NEW CONTACTS: Dorothy Burger, , Laurel Williams , and Bobbie Harris, New Residents: Welcome to our new residents Bulletin Board …… The Spanish Classes are resuming again. Regina Hernandez, our Spanish Class instructor, will start the Advanced Class on Tuesday, September 13th, and the Intermediate Class will be on Wednesday, September 14th. The Beginners Class will be resuming as well, and Regina will be notifying us when this class begins. If you are interested in learning Spanish, or attending any classes, contact Regina at Our thanks to Regina for her dedication in offering our Spanish Classes. We are looking for a volunteer who enjoys photography. Our Social Club has a yearbook of all the events held during the year, and our historian uses the pictures we take at the events to create this year book full of pictures and memories for everyone to enjoy. Our yearbooks go back many, many years. It’s fun to look back through the years and enjoy the photos and events. If you like taking photos and would like to be a photographer at the events, we would welcome your help. We will reimburse you for your supplies. Please contact Linda Gailmor for information: 4
