2 Political gains After the failure of the equal rights amendment women's organizations began to want women the be in office. There was more and more candidates that were women who were running for the highest levels in the government. Every decade there was more and women candidates and by women where in the house and 17 in the senate.

3 Decades and candidates

4 Inequality In 1961 It was reported that women were paid less than men for equal work. It was also reported females were rarely promoted to higher positions in their field of work. As of 2007 women headed only ten Fortune 500 companies.

5 POverty and change For female African americans in the early 2000s poverty was at a high rate. After a while instead of having traditional pay scales employers would establish pay by the jobs requirement.

6 What the change is looking like
Very few women who became corporate officers held line positions, jobs with profit-and-loss responsibility. This is how America is making a change for equal opportunity .
