1 What is stressing you out?
Have students write down some ideas, thoughts, questions, or whatever is stressing them out about tomorrow. You will complete the presentation, then hopefully their questions will be answered. Tell students that you understand that stress is normal, but if you are prepared, you have nothing to worry about. That is why we have been preparing all year, since September.

3 PP for 10 minutes prompt and plan

4 RTN for 50 minutes read and take notes

5 WWW for 60 minutes write, write, write

6 Do you know which room you will be testing?
If a student does not know, please have one student (that you know is ready for the FSA) go with that student to the list in the cafeteria and show them where to go.

7 Teachers are not teachers tomorrow.

8 Be serious tomorrow! You have worked very hard.
You have written over 8 essays. You know this!

9 If you bring your cell phone tomorrow, give it to the proctor right away.
No excuses!

Remind students about the format. Thesis: complete sentence with their two main points. Minimum of 4 paragraphs. Thesis (first)

12 You have 120 minutes Tell students that this was just added by the District. They will have a 5 minute break. It is a quiet break in the class. You will have a 5 minute “silent” break after 60 minutes. This means you should start to write after the break.

13 Ready. Count quietly with me.
Count to 10 for each movement. Roll neck for 10, roll shoulders for 10, chest movement for 10, wrist for 10, hips for 10, left ankle for 10, hold for 10, right ankle for 10, hold for 10. Return to the head for 8…complete the round, then for 6…complete round, then for 4…complete round, then for 2…complete round, then for 1, complete round. Stand up. Quietly.

16 Close your eyes and listen carefully.
At this point turn off the projector or return to this slide during the relaxation portion. Start the video at 4´00…the beginning is way too long. Have students sit straight up with their hands on their labs. If students want to sit cross legged in their chairs, but it is up to you. Finish the video at 12´40. This will help you relax. Remember to go to bed early tonight and eat breakfast tomorrow.
