4 Audience Centeredness
keeping the audience foremost in mind at every step of speech preparation and presentation. identification- a process in which speakers seek to create a bond with the audience by emphasizing common values, goals, and experiences.

5 Situation Audience Analysis
audience analysis that focuses on situational factors such as size of the audience, the physical setting for the speech, and the disposition of the audience toward the topic, the speaker, and the occasion. attitude- a frame of mind in favor of or opposed to a person, policy, belief, institution, etc.

6 Demographic Audience This analysis consist of two steps; 1. Identifying the general demographic features of your audience. 2. Using these features for importance of a particular speech. This analysis focuses on factors such as age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, group membership, and racial, ethnic or cultural background. Stereotyping- Creating an oversimplified image of a particular group of people, usually by assuming that all members of the group are alike.

7 Getting Information about the Audience
You can write a questionnaire for your audience to get the audiences’ attention and there are three major questions to choose from, fixed-alternative questions, scale questions, and open-ended questions. Fixed-alternative questions- are questions that offer a fixed choice between two or more alternatives Scale questions-are questions that require Reponses at fixed intervals along a scale of answers Open-ended questions- are questions that allow respondents to answer however they want.

8 Your Classmates as an Audience
Pay attention to others during their speech you never know when their information can affect you! Speak to your classmates, not just the teacher! Speech class is a testing ground…use it!
