7. So far…..
Dual training program at a 70:30 ratio between companies and TTIs under preparation (framework, guidelines, curricula for two trades, draft in- company training plans)
HR preparations for pilot: 11 stakeholders (government & companies) exposed to similar programs in the region; 6 persons were trained in curriculum development, 3 in skills supervision (govt), 15 from partner companies in training supervision/managing practical classes/managing assessment of trainees.
Short courses developed for two priority topics a) Tile Laying & b) Solar Water Heating System (SWHS)
65 carpenters assessed through recognition of prior learning (RPL) mode, thereby increasing their “market value.”
Construction carpentry and masonry
Skilled supervisors now competent in training supervision, managing practical class, managing assessment of DTP trainees

8. Potential synergies with DPG……
ADB – with their on-going project STEP-UP
ADA – experiences in their tourism/hospitality engagement in the past (also, energy efficient construction?)
