3. What is Eschatology? Beliefs about how the current world will end.
Usually involves world destruction, the afterlife (heaven and hell?), the Parousia (second coming of Christ), resurrection of the dead, last judgement, and everything returning to a state that God wants.
Huge variety of Christian views on these events. For instance, some think it will happen any day now, some that it will be much later, and some that these ideas are merely symbolic.
