Energy Form Card Sort Each person needs a picture
Go stand under the energy form that you think your picture represents. Things to think about: Does your picture represent any other energy forms? Do you see anyone in the room who you think should be moved to another spot?

Use the posters around the room to fill in the concept map on your sheet. Try to list examples or key words for each form.

For example: Radiant Energy from the Sun is used by plants to make chemical energy. We eat the plants and then use that energy to move (mechanical).

Energy Transformation Taboo
The Rules You will work in your table groups. One person will pick a card from the bag and give clues. The rest of the team will try to guess the object you are describing. Without saying the name of the object the clue giver will describe the energy transformation that is occurring. After the group has guessed correctly, another teammate will give clues.

Let’s try one together…
This object uses electrical energy to create radiant and sound energy. You have to plug it in to the wall to get it to display pictures. This is an object that you probably have in your house. I am willing to bet that you probably spend at least an hour using this each day.
