2. BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
BOWDI is a youth-led registered Non- Governmental, Non-profit Organization. The organization has Thirty one (31) project staff and about fourty (40) volunteers. We have been active in Humanitarian and development activities in the Northeast especially in areas of education, peace- building, advocacy, food security and protection. The organization has registered CAC and Social Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCULM)

WOMEN ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (VSF)
LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT TO WIVES OF NIGERIA’S FALLEN HEROES (NERI, USAID SUPPORTED)
LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT TO COMMUNITIES (WFP SUPPORTED)

4. CAPACITIES DEVELOPED
Financial capacity strengthened: as a result of partnership with Education Crisis Response (USAID) our financial management was strengthened ensuring that documentations are accurate and our policies guide activities. Many trainings were received.
Proposal development/budgeting: BOWDI as a result of partnerships is now able to develop informed proposals and budgets that suites donor requirements
Understanding effective coordination and collaboration with other actors: BOWDI as a result of partnership with other organizations have been part of many sector working groups. And thus, we are upto date with information and working with referrals
Quality reporting: BOWDI staff received various trainings on reporting formats. Alhtough every organization/agency has a particular format, but this has been to a great experience.

5. ONGOING PROJECTS
UNHCR: ‘Borno State Gender BAsed Violence Prevention Project, a peer to peer model’ working in three (3) locations Bama, Pulka and MMC.
WFP: ‘Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program’ in Konduga
Malala Fund: BOWDI produced a ‘GULMAKAI’ champion, and we are funded by Malala fund to work on increasing access/opportunities for education to girl-child.
Victims Support Funds: ‘Livelihood recovery project’ Working in Bama to empower vulnerable women especially widows and female headed house holds.
