5. Playing Scales and Chords in the Circle of 5ths
By playing scales in the circle of 5ths you will be able to really learn the positions and just where the notes are.
Much better than doing the chromatic scale up and down the fingerboard.
Will start with the blues scale off of the E form of CAGED

6. Root is on the 6th string You could keep going but on many of your
guitars this is as high as is practical.
This is based off of the E form of
CAGED!! Note how the fingering changes
but not the root.

7. For this start on F and work Counter-clockwise

11. Now do the E form of the scale starting on G –

Write out the chords for circle of 5th’s, for a number of keys – do at least the CAGED keys. C, A, G, E, and D.
