5. Processing Data processing is the procedure of processing information in a computer system. It is through this process that data is manipulated by software to produce a required result. Computer data processing is any computing process that converts data's into information or knowledge. The processing is usually assumed to be automated and running on a computer. Because data's are most useful when well-presented and actually informative, data-processing systems are often referred to as information systems to emphasize their practicality.
